Welcome 2022 - Renewed hope in challenging times - for transformed lives!

Dear friends and supporters of the #RoofForAChild campaign,

As we are now in the first month of the year 2022, we wanted to pen a quick note of gratitude, because with your help, many children' lives are being transformed - just because you took the step of faith & sacrifice to educate them. We are especially grateful for your sacrificial commitments in the midst of a pandemic that affected all of us in varying degrees. 

It has been quite the journey with you all and most importantly, with God’s grace, having completed 7 years of successfully starting and running a campaign which has enabled us to complete 4 childrens’ homes, 1 close to completion with dedication this April, and and more homes in the pipeline.

 

2021 Updates

• The ‘Roof for a Child’ annual carnival could not be conducted again this spring due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but instead, we were able to hold a virtual fundraiser in December, which was a great success!
• Construction was completed in the Khandwa boys hostel 1st phase - with the hostel dedication in Oct '21. We expect 70 boys to move in very shortly.
• Nandurbar MH - Girls home - Funds have been raised for construction, which is expected to complete by March or April.
• A few small campaigns were conducted by our supporters in cities like Charlotte, NC and Atlanta GA! The campaign is slowly but surely raising interest across the country!

2021 - A sneak preview

• The 2022 ‘Roof for a Child’ carnival is planned to be conducted on Saturday, April 23rd, 2021 - A tentative date based on how the pandemic lockdowns go on. ( We will keep you updated)
  •  Location: Brooks Crossing Elementary school, South Brunswick NJ (please note the change of location)
    • larger auditorium & gym! 
    • Based on feedback, this is a more spacious hall with a lot more variety of culinary delights!
    • We are going to have more games for kids and kids at heart - with escape rooms and more - More details coming!
• We plan to take the campaign nationwide in 2022 with smaller awareness events to be conducted in additional cities in USA
• We take your trust in us seriously and plan to submit to the highest levels of financial accountability. We take pride in being a 100% volunteer based campaign with all expenses directly tied to capital or event based.
  • We are working on becoming a member of the ECFA, and other watchdog organizations.

In closing, we wish to remind you that the campaign is just an extension of the desire that each of us have in educating children and transforming communities. We are just able to operate at this scale because we have come together for this purpose.
